Podocarpus Wood Slabs
A relative of Japanese Yew, Podocarpus can grow as either a shrub or a medium-sized evergreen tree reaching up to 60 feet tall. Slabs from this specie can be wide, but often not very long. Podocarpus is used for furniture, wood turning, and specialty wood objects. It has a pale, creamy color, and it machines, cuts, and finishes well. The tree grows to heights of 30-40 feet and up to 18-24 inches in diameter.
