Quaruba Mahogany Wood Slabs
Quaruba Mahogany is straight-grained and has a very different color to it. It is a pinkish-orange to brown, with a lot of consistency within each log. The useable lumber yield is high and it dries well if done correctly. It is slowly kiln dried to lower the risk of checking and cracking. When dried properly, it is a stable wood that will last years indoors or under cover. It glues and finishes well. Even though it is rated as moderately durable, we do not recommend using it as an exterior wood, mostly because of its tendency to check if left in the elements. It performs very well inside for cladding, tabletops, flooring, or any other element where you want a unique look and color.
