Poplar Wood Slabs
Poplar heartwood is usually creamy-white to gray in color, sometimes pale brown or pinkish-brown. Grain is straight and can be woolly. Texture is fine and even. Poplar is most commonly used in architectural millwork because it is gentle on cutting tools, yet hard enough to retain details. It finishes very well, taking an even and smooth coat of paint, primer, varnish, or epoxy.
